AUDITIONS

For
Shakespeare’s

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Saturday, March 7, 12 – 2 pm OR Monday, March 9, 7 – 9 pm (for actors)

Saturday, March 14, 4 - 6 pm (for circus performers)

Auditioners with both acting and circus experience are encouraged to
attend BOTH an acting audition and the circus audition.

The Middletown, Connecticut based theater company ARTFARM announces public auditions for its 2015 Shakespeare in the Grove production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Auditions for actors will be held Saturday, March 7, 12 – 2 pm and Monday, March 9, 7 – 9 pm in Founders Hall at Middlesex Community College. Auditions for circus performers will be held Saturday, March 14, 4 - 6 pm at Air Temple Arts, 1175 State St, in New Haven.

Auditioners must register for one of the above dates, dress to move, and plan to remain for the entire two hours. Actors please prepare a 1-2 minute Shakespeare monologue and bring your resume and head shot. Circus performers, please prepare a 1-2 minute act and bring your resume and head shot. Those with both acting and circus skills are particularly encouraged. There may be a limited number of Equity contracts available.
Ages 18 and over only, please. Stipend available for actors and performers.

This is ARTFARM’s tenth summer of presenting Shakespeare and live music in the beautiful Grove overlooking the Connecticut River Valley on the Middlesex Community College Campus. ARTFARM is a professional Company with a Core Ensemble, but open auditions are held annually to fill many roles in our summer Shakespeare productions. All experienced actors and circus performers are welcome to audition.

Middlesex Community College is located at 100 Training Hill Road in Middletown. Production dates are July 15 – 26 in the Cedar Grove at the College. Rehearsals begin June 1 and will be held Monday – Friday evenings.
